A total of £13,000 has been raised for the Teenage Cancer Trust at an annual celebration of mod culture in Morecambe.
March of the Mods was held at Alhambra Live in the town on Saturday and as always, pulled big crowds for a day of live music and fundraising - with all revenue from ticket sales going to the cancer charity for young people.
Organiser Mark Dugan thanked everyone who was involved in the event, and who donated their time, cash, bought tickets and spent money on the raffle.
Mr Dugan said "the atmosphere was electric" at the event, which saw performances from bands The Coast, Urban Hymns, The Rics, The Call Up, Rapture and SkaFace.
In a post on the March of the Mods Facebook page, he gave a list of thank yous.
"Our DJs Paul, Paul, Martyn and Amanda – you had the folk dancing.
"Andrew Prince on sound, Alex Wetton and Lee Sharples on lights. Fiona Wetton and her very hard working bar team. Wayne and his security team. HBI Design Plus and MP Haulage for their sponsorship. Lee Bradbury for his great support and help. Gary Butler for arranging some excellent food for the bands. Emma Cross and her Teenage Cancer Trust team for their great assistance with the raffle throughout the day. Robert Ellershaw and The Exchange for hosting our pre-event warm up featuring the excellent Afterglow and matching the total raised from the bucket collection on the night. Matthew Dugan and Charlotte Dugan for assisting on the day.
"And of course the biggest thanks goes to all of you that bought tickets for the event, and then made personal donations and/or bought raffle tickets over the weekend – you’re all very very generous people - who definitely like to party!!
"Such a buzz seeing everyone smiling and having a great time."
Mark said he and his wife Joan would be taking a short break and then planning for the return of March of the Mods in 2026.
