Temporary traffic lights on a main route in and out of Lancaster city centre have been causing misery for motorists.
Drivers say they have experienced gridlock on Caton Road in Lancaster due to roadworks, which are due to last until March 13.
There are multi-way signals due to replacing a piece of equipment called a gas governor, as well as sections of mains replacement by Cadent Gas.
