
A driver was found to be nearly five times over the drink drive limit when officers stopped a vehicle on the M6 near Lancaster last night.
Lancashire Road Police pulled the vehicle over on the northbound carriageway.
The driver blew a reading of 170 Micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath at the roadside.
The legal limit is 35.
The driver was taken into custody, where they recorded a reading of 140.
It’s thought the driver was attempting to travel back to Inverness in Scotland when they were pulled over by police.
