
A man has been taken to hospital after a car overturned on a residential street in Morecambe.
Police said they were called at 9.36am on Tuesday to Beaufort Road and one vehicle was involved.
A resident said he was watching the TV when he heard a "massive bang" outside and thought "a bus had hit the house".
He said the driver got out and "was wandering about in shock" and believed he'd gone to A&E.
A police spokesperson confirmed the driver had been taken to hospital.
Police closed a section of Beaufort Road following the incident.
Great Wood Primary School on Beaufort Road has issued advice for people picking up children from the school on Tuesday afternoon.
"There is an overturned car on Beaufort Road between Beulah Avenue and Redwood Drive. The road is unlikely to be open when school closes. It may also be distressing for children.
"Cars – we recommend parking on Bare Lane, Strickland Drive or Anstable Road. Do not park on Farnlea Drive or Beulah Ave as there will be many pedestrians. Cars coming from Bare Lane will have to turn right at Farnlea Drive and exit on South Road.
"Pedestrians from Broadway will need to walk on Beulah Avenue, South Road and Farnlea Drive to reach the school entrance. There is no pedestrian access on the section of Beaufort Road.
"We will inform children who walk on their own of the route to take."
