
Emergency services have rescued a person who was trapped between rocks on Morecambe Promenade.
The fire service were called out at 4.57pm on Tuesday August 27.
Three fire engines from Lancaster and Morecambe went to the scene at Marine Road, the air ambulance and Morecambe lifeboat crew were also called.
A Morecambe Fire Station spokesperson said: "Crews worked alongside a number of partner agencies to release the casualty and safely get him off the rocks and in to the safety of the ambulance service.
"Crews were in attendance for roughly 1 hour 30 minutes before becoming available for further incidents."
A spokesperson for Morecambe Lifeboat crew said:
"A casualty had become stuck on the rocks near the inshore lifeboat station. Coastguard requested a stable platform to assist in the rescue. The hovercraft was launched which could provide the request.
"Upon arrival the hover crew under the command of Danny Kirk safely recovered the casualty on board and made to awaiting ambulance and paramedics at shore where he was transferred into their care."
