Actor and comedian Johnny Vegas and one of the main stars of hit TV drama series The Bay will appear at the first Morecambe Film and TV Festival.

Vegas, star of 'Benidorm', 'Still Open All Hours' and numerous comedy panel game shows will be part of 'An Ideal Night Out' - appropriately at Johnny's Warehouse Bar on November 14.

The Morecambe Film and TV Festival is working alongside the annual Bay International Film Festival, with both events taking place in the town in November.

It begins with a premiere of Episode 1 of the new series of hit crime drama series The Bay, filmed in Morecambe, followed by a Q&A with actor Dan Ryan, who plays DI Manning, and writer Daragh Carville from Lancaster.

This will be held at Reel Cinema in Morecambe on Friday November 8.

On Saturday November 9, there will be a screening of film 'Henry V' and a Q&A with the producer at the West End Playhouse on Yorkshire Street. There will also be a Q&A on the making of the film, held at the Playhouse on November 16.

On Friday November 15, 'Comic Strip Presents' star Peter Richardson will take questions at a screening of the classic '80s alternative comedy series which starred The Young Ones legends Rik Mayall, Ade Edmondson and Nigel Planer (pictured below with Richardson in the spoof band 'Bad News'.) This will be held at Reel Cinema from 7pm.
