A Morecambe councillor has announced his departure as co-owner of a West End pub.
Charlie Edwards has left The Boardwalk after three years at the helm.
Lee Wallett, who had been running the pub alongside Mr Edwards, has now taken sole charge of the Marine Road West bar.
Mr Edwards, a Conservative Lancashire county councillor for Morecambe South, announced he was leaving the pub in a Facebook post.
He said: "After a period of extended paternity leave and a lot of time to reflect - I’ve decided to leave The Boardwalk.
"Lee has bought my half of the business and I wish him and the staff all the very best luck and love in the world and I know it is going to carry on being the very best pub in Morecambe.
"Being a dad has absolutely changed my life and I’m enjoying it more than I could ever imagine, and I want to focus on (son) Louie and (partner) Sophie and my duties as a councillor representing our amazing town of Morecambe.
"I want to thank everyone who has helped make the last three years the best years of my life - most importantly the customers who stood by us through thick and thin, those who bought deliveries during Covid and the staff who put up with my paddies!
"Over and out. West End is the Best End."
The Boardwalk, located close to the former Frontierland theme park site, was formerly known as Upstairs Downstairs.
Mr Edwards and Mr Wallett took over the pub in 2019.
