Morecambe Music Festival grows to 37 venues

Two new venues have come on board as part of Morecambe Music Festival

Morecambe Music Festival 2024 will be even bigger after two more venues joined the party taking the total up to 37.

The Platform and Harry's Bar will be part of the four-day live music event around the town, taking place from July 11-14.

Live music will come from The Charm and Coasta on Friday night, July 12 at The Platform.

And a line-up of music at Harry's Bar from the Friday to the Sunday will include Kassidy Kiernan, Maddison Peacock, Claudia Thompson, Dan Doherty, Real Desire, and DJs Summer J and Mike Reeves.

The other already-announced venues are The Bath Tap, The Boardwalk, The Brittlestar, The Bull, The Chieftain, Coffey's, the Cumberland View, The Exchange, the Trimpell, Shore Thing, Johnny's Warehouse Bar, The Joiners, The King's Arms, the Lord Nelson, The Masons, The Midland, The Morecambe Hotel, The Palatine, The Pier Hotel, The Royal Bar & Shaker, Regent Park Pavilion, The Station Promenade, Smokey O'Connors, The York, The Old Bank, Fusion Sports Bar, The Beach Cafe, the Clock Tower Cafe, Rita's Cafe, Lewis's Coffee Shop, Miogelato, Morecambe RNLI Hovercraft Station and Ruby's of Morecambe.

Thousands will descend on Morecambe to watch the festival and enjoy around 175 acts including rock, pop, soul, country, hip-hop, reggae, indie, ska, punk, Irish music, acoustic, DJs, tribute acts, ukulele, and even a sea shanty crew!

The free live music extravaganza will take place in pubs, cafes, hotels and other venues across the town.

An official launch night will be held at The Exchange on Thursday July 11 featuring music from The Seahorses front man Chris Helme (pictured below), Laurie Wright and Listen Twice.

Beyond Radio will host a live radio show at Morecambe Music Festival this year for the first time ever.

We will broadcast live on Saturday July 13 from the Midland Hotel with a special three-hour programme from 3pm to 6pm.

Festival founder Stuart Michaels will be a studio guest on The Resident on Tuesday, July 9 at 6pm to talk about this year's festival.
