
Three people were rescued from a dinghy on the River Lune at Halton this afternoon.
Two fire engines from Lancaster and Morecambe, along with the water incident unit from Penwortham were called to Halton Park, just before 12:45pm.
They’d received reports of people stranded in a dinghy on the River Lune.
Firefighter swift water rescue technicians rescued three people from the boat which was stuck in a trough.
Fire crews were on scene for approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.
