
Police praised members of the public including a community nurse who stopped to help an elderly man who tripped and banged his head in Morecambe.
A statement from Morecambe Area Police on Saturday said: "Big thank you to the members of the public and the community nurse who gave first aid and supported an elderly male who had tripped over and banged his head on Lord Street earlier this evening.
"Fantastic work! Great to see people stopping and taking time to help.
"Op Centurion officers took the male up to the hospital to get him checked out. He was so thankful for your help and support.
"Thank you!"
