A sold-out gig in Lancaster by singer songwriter Frank Turner has raised more than £26,000 for a charity.

The show at Lancaster Town Hall on March 1 raised £26,445.78 for Citizens Advice North Lancashire, it has been announced.

Frank played in front of a packed crowd to support the charity where his big sister Joanna Young is CEO.

The siblings even performed a special duet on stage during the gig!

It was Frank's fourth show in Lancaster and he intends to be back in future; saying he loves visiting Joanna and her family in Morecambe.

"Thanks to everyone who bought a ticket, a t-shirt or a raffle ticket!" said a statement from Citizens Advice North Lancashire.

"And a MASSIVE thanks to everyone involved who helped make it possible: From the Fields, Blue Noise Event Production Ltd, the Mayor of Lancaster, Lancaster City Council, awesome support from Joe McCorriston and Amy Rae.

"Most of all, thank you to Frank Turner for giving up his time to play for us, and to our CEO and Frank's big sister Joanna Young for making it happen!

"The money you've raised will allow us to reach more people in the Lancaster and Morecambe Distict who need our support through the cost of living crisis.

"THANK YOU."
