An intrepid six-year-old boy has presented £4,500 to his school after raising the money by trekking 93 miles along Hadrian's Wall.
Fraser Manley handed over funds to Westgate Primary School raised from his eight-day walk in August.
Little Fraser aimed to raise £1900 from the walk and ended up smashing his target thanks to generous donations from the public, including a donation from Morecambe Football Club who topped it up to £4,500.
The money will be used to buy books for the school.
LISTEN to Fraser's dad Miles Manley and head teacher Keith Wright talking about the walk and the donation:
Mr Wright said: "He's such a little Trojan, we're so proud of him as a school.
"There is a real push at the moment on reading. We knew we needed to invest in fantastic reading resources. To be presented with a cheque for £4500 by Fraser himself is absolutely phenomenal. Every single penny will be used for the benefit of the children."
Fraser and his grandad John will now be writing a story about his adventures walking Hadrian's Wall, and they hope it can be published as a book for the school library.
Fraser presented the cheque to his head teacher Keith Wright on Friday morning at school, below.
