Tyson Fury suffered a controversial points loss to Oleksandr Usyk for the second time.
Usyk won clearly by 116-112 (eight rounds to four) on all three judges cards in what seemed to be another extremely close fight for the world heavyweight boxing championship.
Fury shook his head on hearing the verdict - the four-round margin coming as a shock after 36 minutes of tightly-contested combat in which both men had their moments of success.
After the fight, Tyson stormed backstage where he said he thought he won by three rounds.
Some observers had Fury winning too, including Tyson's promoter Frank Warren who said he was "dumbfounded" by the decision.
But others felt Usyk deserved the win.
Beyond Radio scored it a 115-115 draw.
"I'll always believe it until the day I die, I won that fight," said 'The Gypsy King' afterwards.
"I was on the front foot all night, landing (to) body and head.
"It is what it is. I'm not going to cry over spilt milk. It's happened now. But I'm always going to feel a little hard don't by. Not a little bit, a lot."
The rematch on Saturday night in Riyadh was much more of a chess match than the thrilling first contest in May when both men were hurt.
Morecambe-based Fury came in 19lbs heavier than the first fight at 281lbs, 20st 1lbs, and at times bullied the smaller man.
But the fleet-footed Usyk, on the back foot much more than in May, landed plenty of his own scoring shots.
He also had his traditional strong finish, although never came close to flooring his challenger.
Fury was never able to corner the elusive Usyk for long enough to use his extra bulk to his advantage, instead boxing behind his long left jab on the front foot.
He also switched to southpaw on occasion and seemed to confuse Usyk whenever he did so.
After a cagey start between these two elite operators, Tyson had a strong fifth round, getting through with a terrific uppercut, and clubbing the 226lb Ukrainian with cuffing shots.
But the determined Usyk roared back, as he always does, landing his own big punches in Round 6.
Fury, watched from ringside by his wife Paris and son Prince, continued to control much of the action over rounds 8 and 9 and was far more serious than in the first fight when he showboated repeatedly.
But Usyk was always able to find ways to land eye catching combinations and started to connect with lefts more regularly as the fight progressed.
The 37-year-old also showed his usual toughness and ability to adapt when he needed to most.
The judges certainly preferred Usyk's work and had him dominating from the halfway point onwards.
Unofficial Compubox punch stats had Usyk outlanding Fury in most of the rounds, and by 179-144 overall.
The former Olympic and undisputed cruiserweight champion is now undefeated in 23 professional fights and has surely cemented his status as an all-time great of the sport.
Fury's record is now 34 wins, two defeats and one draw in 37 fights.
Before the fight on Saturday, the bearded Fury, wearing a red and white robe, entered the arena in Saudi Arabia to Mariah Carey's 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' looking relaxed, while a focussed Usyk arrived wearing a turban.
Here is our round-by-round analysis of Fury-Usyk 2.
