Lancaster City will play Matlock Town on Saturday afternoon, looking to put the last few weeks behind them.
They head into their Northern Premier League Premier Division clash at The Proctor Cars Stadium with several players injured and off the back of a 5-3 FA Cup second qualifying round replay defeat on Wednesday to Bury AFC, who are positioned two leagues below them.
As far as their league campaign goes, the Dollies are fourth from bottom in the table and, despite a decent defensive record, have won just one game so far, that win coming against Gainsborough Trinity nearly four weeks ago.
Ever since then, Lancaster’s injury problems have deepened and the majority of their squad are unlikely to be fully fit for Saturday’s fixture.
Matlock Town have won three and drawn two of their five home games this season so will be keen to continue their good run of form on home turf.
Matlock Town vs Lancaster City kicks off at 3pm at the Proctor Cars Stadium.
