Lancaster City drew for the fifth successive game in a Bank Holiday Monday trip to Mickleover.
As with the theme of City's start to the season it was the Dollies who started the strongest, Chris Dagnall with a headed chance from a Dom Lawson cross where he just missed the target.
Five minutes later, Tom Kilifin found Aaron Bennett in space, but he couldn't get the connection he wanted and his chance went wide.
More Dollies pressure gave Charlie Bailey the chance from the edge of the D forcing a save from Yusuf Mersin.
More pressure from the men in lilac saw half chances but by the end of the second half Mickleover had periods of pressure which was suitably dealt with by the back three of Dylan Moonan, Pat Allington and player of the match, Harrison Beeden.
The second half started the same as the first as a well worked corner between Aaron Bennett, flicked on by Dom Lawson saw Allington just missing the cross on the back post. A minute later Lawson had his own shot which was expertly blocked.
A contentious decision came on 75 minutes, a throw in ending in the back of the Mickleover goal, a decision Chris Willcock called 'soft'.
Substitute Aaron Fleming had a positive impact on proceedings, forcing a save from the Mickleover 'keeper from a deep cross, and shortly after placing a shot wide after a one-two with Dom Lawson.
The best chance of the game fell to Nic Evangelinos. On 87 minutes he was in a similar position as to the one he found himself against Workington, this time he fired over.
Mickleover were reduced to attacks on the counter, which for the majority were dealt with. Marcus Barnes broke free of Dylan Moonan, carried the ball and fired over.
The last chances fell to Dom Lawson and debutant Jack Byrne, who from a last minute corner both had headed attempts saved.
So the game ended goalless. Another clean sheet for the records and a point away from home.
