Lancaster City travel to Matlock Town on Saturday hoping to recover from a heavy midweek loss.
They visit the Proctor Cars Stadium off the back of a 5-0 defeat to Ashton United on Tuesday (March 5) at Hurst Cross, their most comprehensive loss of the season.
Saturday’s meeting is the second of three consecutive away matches for the Dolly Blues.
Lancaster are currently seventh, three points behind fifth placed Macclesfield, who have three games in hand on them.
City were unbeaten in six league games before they visited Ashton-under-Lyne on Tuesday.
Speaking to Dolly Blue Sound after the heavy loss, manager Chris Willcock said he takes “full responsibility” for the defeat, admitting it was his decision to play what was a rearranged game, on Tuesday.
Matlock Town are 16th in the NPL Premier Division but are well clear of the relegation places.
They haven’t won since January 27, so Lancaster are definitely the more in-form side heading into this one.
In the reverse fixture, which was only five weeks ago, Lancaster won 1-0, thanks to a Christian Sloan wonder strike.
Matlock Town v Lancaster City kicks off at 3pm on Saturday (March 9) at the Proctor Cars Stadium.
