The Dolly Blues were denied all three points by a stoppage time equaliser for Guiseley in the Northern Premier League.
After the impressive victory away at FC United of Manchester, Lancaster City started this game at Giant Axe with an unchanged line up.
Aaron Bennett played in Christian Sloan and from the edge of the box played it back to Nic Evangelinos and he placed the ball into the bottom right corner from 12 yards out, leaving the Guiseley goalkeeper rooted to the floor, putting the Dolly Blues 1-0 up after three minutes.
It was almost 2-0 soon after, as Sam Bailey cut out a Bailey Johnson pass on the edge of his own box, Dom Lawson played in the captain, who had continued his run and his shot came off the top of the bar.
It was Lawson who then had a chance to extend the lead. Charlie Bailey picked up a loose defensive clearance, who played in Lawson and from just inside the penalty box his shot went agonisingly wide.
The rest of the half was half-chances for both sides, with John Lufudu having chances to get shots off, cutting inside from the left hand side, all these were over the bar.
Into the second half and the game became a scrappier affair. Lewis Mansell saw a shot blocked on 57 minutes and Aaron Bennett then forced a great save from Joe Cracknell.
For the visitors, substitute Jack Emmett finds the ball at his feet and in space but blazes his effort over and another substitution Afuape has his close range effort blocked by Dylan Moonan.
The impressive rearguard action was looking to be rewarded with a win, but on 93 minutes the Lions sent in a long throw into a heavily congested box and under pressure, James McClenaghan could only parry the throw-in into his own goal.
Chris Willcock said in his post match interview: "It was a bitter one to take at the end of the game, but that was coming to be honest.
"We've made a massive error at the end of the game, but ultimately we've not really taken the pressure off regarding the mistake happening because going the other way we did not create enough.’’
Next Saturday Lancaster City are at home again to Ashton United.
