Morecambe head into the Festive period bottom of League Two and still without a home league win after a 2-0 defeat to Bromley at the Mazuma Mobile Stadium.
It was another game where the Shrimps failed to register a single shot on target, as the Ravens secured a comfortable victory in a game low on quality for either side.
Bromley opened the scoring in the 19th minute.
A long throw wasn’t properly cleared, and a deep cross from the right side wasn’t dealt with by goalkeeper Harry Burgoyne, allowing Omar Sowunmi to nod home into an empty net.
Harvey Macadam come close around the half hour mark, but his effort from distance was blocked for a corner.
Morecambe started the second half brightly but failed to convert their good spell into anything meaningful on goal, other than a scramble in the box which was pushed away by visiting keeper Grant Smith.
Still in search of the leveller, Derek Adams' men applied the pressure in the 57th minute;
In the 75th minute, Harry Burgoyne reacted quickly to make a magnificent save and deny Callum Reynold’s header from close range.
As the half wore on, Bromley scored their second from the penalty spot six minutes from time.
Morecambe were caught on the break, and Danny Imray advanced into the area before being tripped by Tom White.
Michael Cheek dispatched the spot kick into the corner to score his 12th goal of the season and condemn the Shrimps – who now haven’t scored in four games - to the foot of the League Two table.
Morecambe travel to second bottom Carlisle United on Boxing Day.
