The team at the club shop at Heysham Golf Club are celebrating after winning a national award.
The Heysham Golf Club Pro Shop: Clubfit Golf - headed by pros Trevor Newsham and Ryan Done - won the EMP Member of the Year in the Foremost Golf Awards.
The award is contested between around 600 golf pro shops across the UK and after finishing in the top four in 2023, the Heysham Golf Club shop has followed it with a win.
EMP is the digital marketing platform the club is a part of, and the award has been given for their excellence in marketing in-store, across their digital platforms and website.
"We would like to thank Alfie our marketing editor at Foremost for his hard work as well as the guys in the back office team for providing this amazing platform for us," said the Clubfit team, in a post on their website.
"For a small team like ours it feels like we have an extra member of staff from being a part of the EMP.
"To all our customers, members of Heysham Golf Club and friends, thank You for your support, custom and friendship.
"Also to Heysham Golf Club for always supporting their professional team. This award is national recognition of the hard work we put in to provide the best service we can.
"Whilst focusing on our marketing it still recognises our work in store and with our sponsors Pye Motors."
