The Shrimps remain bottom of the League Two table after a disappointing evening at Plough Lane.
The home side began with plenty of possession and managed to win a number of corners in the opening stages. From one, Stuart Moore was called into action as he had to tip over the bar.
Morecambe’s brightest moment of the first half came at the midway point, when Adam Lewis slipped in David Tutonda inside the Dons’ penalty area, but his teasing square ball was just out of the reach at Marcus Dackers sliding in.
At the other end, Myles Hippolyte swung a cross into the direction of Matty Stevens who put a free header straight at Moore, before the Shrimps’ keeper kept out a James Tilley drive at the back post.
Stevens then blazed over from close range with the last kick of the first half, as the teams went in all square at the break.
The deadlock was broken on 52 minutes with a sensational finish for the hosts.
James Tilley picked the ball up on the half way line, and was allowed to run unchallenged to the edge of the box, where he curled the ball into the top corner.
Soon after, Myles Hippolyte found himself one on one with Moore, who made the save, before the advantage for the Dons was doubled shortly after.
Callum Maycock crossed from the byline into the path of Omar Bugiel who slotted home from 10 yards with a low left footed finish.
Stevens added a third make with 20 minutes to play in similar fashion to the second. Neufville crossed from the right into the feet of Stevens who was well positioned inside the box to calmly side-foot the ball home.
