80s pop band returns with first headline tour for 36 years and Lancaster show

Johnny Hates Jazz

A pop band who had several Top 20 hits in the 1980s are set to perform in Lancaster as part of their first headline UK tour in 36 years.

Johnny Hates Jazz are best known for their 1987 singles 'Shattered Dreams', 'I Don't Want to be a Hero' and 'Turn Back the Clock'.

They will perform at the Lancaster Grand on Thursday September 5 at 7.30pm.

The band will include original members Clark Datchler (songwriting, vocals, keyboards) and Mike Nocito (production, engineering, guitars).

'Shattered Dreams' reached number five in the UK and number two on the US Billboard chart and topped the US Adult Contemporary chart.

The album 'Turn Back The Clock' entered the UK charts at number one, selling over four million copies and achieving triple-platinum status.

After parting ways at their peak, Johnny Hates Jazz reunited in 2010 and released the album 'Magnetized' in 2013.

The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets are available here.
