A Morecambe opera singer and star of musicals will perform a local show to raise money for a great cause.
Leigh Rhianon Coggins will be accompanied by pianist David Prescott for 'Bubbles, Glitter and Song' at Morecambe Parish Church on Saturday February 4.
The concert is a repeat of Leigh and David's sell-out concert underneath the spectacular planet Mars installation at Morecambe Winter Gardens last year.
Proceeds will go to the new Morecambe Pantry food distribution project run by the parish church.
Leigh, who lives in Morecambe, grew up in South Wales and then graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
A soprano singer, her theatre credits have included The Mikado (National Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company); Pirates of Penzance (National Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company); 25th Anniversary Tour of The Phantom of the Opera (UK & Dublin) and the 25th Anniversary Tour of Les Miserables (UK & Paris).
She has also performed at the Royal Variety Performance.
Last year she played the lead in 'The Little Mermaid' at the Lancaster Grand Theatre, and performed at the Morecambe beacon lighting to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, on the Stone Jetty.
The concert, which starts at 7.30pm, is sponsored by Rod Taylor from Morecambe Care who has covered the cost of hiring a grand piano for the event.
